Status: Expunged is a Breakcore and Experimental Hardcore project by artist Krystina Windrim, based in Red Deer, Canada.
The intensity of her extreme and unique sound design is rivalled only by her frenetic mangling of breakbeats. Her debut project as Status: Expunged, "Sorry I'm Not From Winnipeg," builds upon the legacy of artists such as Venetian Snares and Doormouse, merging classic breakcore styles seamlessly with more modern styles inspired by the likes of Yem and Hkmori.
Her 2025 album, "Skull Crusher," was featured in a Bandcamp Daily article and features "complex arrangements, [and] bombastic set pieces that take breakbeat in wholly unique directions."
More recently, Status: Expunged has been pioneering her own sound of experimental hardcore music, blending aspects of breakcore and modern uptempo hardcore into a wholly new style she calls "Breaktempo." With her 2026 album, "Breaktempo ...in space!" she tells the story of humanity's end to an asteroid apocalypse, while obliterating eardrums with intense, emotional hardcore kicks and blisteringly fast amen breaks.
Her 2026 release "2am Tim's Rip" delves further into experimental music, merging hardcore, breakcore, dubstep, extratone, noise, and more into one chaotic setpiece that is both exciting and viciously Albertan.
Since 2024, Status: Expunged has been an active member of BPM KILL MACHINE.
